The Al Rivera Menudo Run is a long-standing community tradition that has welcomed athletes and families for over 40 years. Held on a beautiful August morning, the event takes place at the scenic Whittier Narrows Legg Lake Park. Runners can choose from a variety of distances, including a 5K, 10K, Fun Run, Kiddy Run, and a competitive Team Race. Beyond the competition, the event is famous for its post-race celebration, where all participants are treated to a bowl of traditional menudo. Those 21 and older can also enjoy a complimentary beer, making for a festive atmosphere at the finish line.
