The Heart of America Marathon is a historic, low-frill race that has been running continuously since 1960. This challenging course is famous for its heat, humidity, and the legendary Easley Hill. Runners will experience a mix of road and approximately 5.5 miles of gravel trails, including scenic stretches along the Katy Trail and the Missouri River. The route passes historic landmarks like the Pierpont General Store and offers a true hometown feel with deep community roots. Because this is an open course with a strict six-hour time limit, participants must be well-prepared for a demanding day....
