Experience the inaugural Matanuska Mile, a fast-paced track event held at the Palmer High School track. This race challenges runners to complete a full 1609-meter mile, testing speed and endurance over four-plus laps. To ensure a competitive environment, participants are organized into heats based on their expected pace, with the slowest heats starting first. The event kicks off at 6:00 PM, with subsequent heats following every 15 minutes. All proceeds from this community-focused race directly support the Palmer High School Cross Country teams.
