Despite the city's reputation as the "Hill City," this course is famously flat, offering a fast and accessible experience for runners of all levels. The route follows the scenic, paved Blackwater Creek Bikeway, winding along the beautiful James River. This event serves as the 9th race in the Lynchburg Road Runners Race Series and provides a perfect middle-ground distance between a 5K and a 10K.
